Market – Saturday, July 27

I’m excited this week to welcome back Bad River Pack and another round of bowling for kids (and adults…cuz it’s fun for all ages)! And I am super excited to welcome Medicine Gardens (Jesse & Meredith Wilkens) and Robin’s Rockin’ Outdoors (Robin Crist & Wicker Bill) this weekend. Jesse, from Medicine Gardens, joined us last year once or twice and this will be Robin’s first market weekend.

Now, it’s lovely to have extra vendors at market, but here’s why it’s great for you as the consumer. Take a look at the variety of items below. And the beauty of these items? They were made or grown locally. As in, you could nearly throw a stone and hit one of Robin’s cabbage plants or Jesse’s tomato plants or B and G Produce’s kale plants. Not that you would want to damage our wonderful plants, but you could. This simple fact also means that you can actually speak with the person growing and making your food. You can ask them what variety of eggplant they’re selling. You can ask if any pesticides touched the produce you will carefully tuck into your grocery bag and take home. You also leave market with produce harvested at its peak freshness, knowing it hasn’t traveled on a truck from who-knows-where to finally end up on your dinner plate.

So, take a look at the sweet list below and visit us Saturday at market.
