Capital City Farmers’ Market – Saturday, September 21 – 9am-noon

It’s the preserving time of year. So many items at the market are perfect for canning, freezing, and drying so you can use them late in the year. Roasted tomato sauce can be frozen or canned, kale and Swiss chard can be blanched and frozen, peppers can be dried or frozen, and zucchini and summer squash can be shredded and frozen. Then, when it’s really cold outside, you have lovely summer produce to enjoy. Not sure how to preserve something? Ask us!

As a market, we accept credit cards and EBT. Shop vendors who accept cc/EBT and pay once before you leave! Stop at the Market Manager booth to start the process and have fun shopping.
