Capital City Farmers’ Market – Saturday, June 22 – 9am-noon

We were lucky this time. The hail, which destroyed some gardens of our friends, missed the farm. That’s the thing with mother nature. You really don’t know what she has in store. I remember when I was growing up, my dad would stand by the sliding glass door during storms, as though somehow his presence might influence her to skip our precious acres of land. Sometimes she did and sometimes she didn’t. Matt and I do the same, in a sense, jumping on our weather app. Knowing our influence on mother nature is slim to none, we can only hope the red doesn’t target our small plot of land. This time, she chose to skip us and we are thankful.

We have an online contest this week, so jump over to the Capital City Farmers’ Market Facebook page and comment on our market post! Directions and prizes are listed online as well.

The vendors this week are amazing, as usual. Many options for you to choose from and plan your weekly menu. I’m guessing our menu will include at least one stir fry, probably a roast of some kind, and definitely a kale Caesar salad.

Also, for the first time, we will have a Paws Meet & Greet with a couple pups up for adoption.

As a market, we accept credit cards and EBT. Shop vendors who accept cc/EBT and pay once before you leave! Stop at the Market Manager booth to start the process and have fun shopping.
