Capital City Farmers’ Market – Saturday, November 4 – 9am-noon

Looks like we’re heading toward a fairly nice Saturday morning! I will be putting in my order for a Hazelnut Latte with an extra shot from Brewbirds pronto! A little caffeine buzz and warm fingers are nice on these chilly mornings.

If you didn’t get a chance to peek at BLC Ranch’s homemade cowls, be sure to do it this weekend. I can’t emphasize enough how much I love mine. I wore it again in the garden today and love it. You’ll see me wearing it Saturday again as well.

Have you ever thought about making your own sauerkraut? We started making ours a couple years ago and haven’t bought sauerkraut since! It’s so wonderful, I sometimes find Matt eating right out of the jar. This is a super simple fermentation process and results in extreme tastiness. This recipe is very similar to how we make ours. We usually ferment our kraut for about 6 weeks, however you can do it for less or more time depending on your taste preference.

Be sure to get all of your favorite bread, biscuits, and hummus this week from B&G Produce. This will be the last time to purchase these flavors this season!

As a market, we accept credit cards and EBT. Shop all the vendors and pay once before you leave! Stop at the Market Manager booth to start the process and have fun shopping.
