Capital City Farmers’ Market – Saturday, August 5 – 9am-noon

I wore a long sleeve shirt today and didn’t want to pass out! We are loving this cool weather and hoping it will continue for a while. Matt and I both feel we accomplish more when it’s a bit cooler and considering how much work we still have to do this season, let’s keep it cool for a bit.

This weekend is Crazy Days downtown, so be sure to check out what the downtown businesses have to offer.

Paula from Haiwick Heritage Ranch is back this weekend. We ate some of her ribeye steak last night for dinner. It was so delicious! We plan to get more on Saturday!! She is also offering an awesome deal on ground beef…buy 9, get 1 free.

Beverly Duffel will be at market with her painted pavers. I wonder if she has a cow paver? If so, I think it should go live with Paula at the ranch.

Sunshine Coffee is here this weekend, but will not be at market on the 12th. So, be sure to get your coffee, tea, and lemonade fix on Saturday!

B&G Produce is introducing Padron Peppers and Jalapeno Peppers this weekend. Have you heard of Padron Peppers before? Read a little about this Spanish treat and how to cook them on our blog.

As a market, we accept credit cards and EBT. Shop all the vendors and pay once before you leave! Stop at the Market Manager booth to start the process and have fun shopping.
