Market – Saturday, May 6

We are so excited to start the 9th season of Capital City Farmers’ Market this weekend! Although we’re just starting to enjoy some warmer weather, Matt and I have been in the gardens since early March. So much to do and, as it ended up, so little time. We’re thrilled to bring mini romaine lettuces to this first market. They are GORGEOUS!

Please help us welcome new vendor, Haiwick Heritage Ranch. Paula and her family live near Highmore. They sell dry-aged, certified Angus beef that is free of antibiotics, steroids, hormones, and confinements. She plans to attend the first Saturday of each month. Read more about them on their website, http://www.haiwickheritageranch.com.

Do yourself a favor and make this roast chicken this weekend. Pick up the thyme and tarragon at B&G Produce. You will thank us.

Or, pick up a couple steaks and grill those up alongside some fresh asparagus. Finish it all off with warm dark chocolate cherry biscuits and whipped cream. Delish.

As a market, we accept credit cards and EBT. Shop all the vendors and pay once before you leave! Stop at the Market Manager booth to start the process and have fun shopping.
