Happy Fourth of July weekend!
B&G Produce is adding something exciting to their list this week: Basil Kale Pesto! This is lovely tossed with pasta, sun-dried tomatoes, and goat cheese. Spread it on crostini and top with some roasted tomatoes for a yummy appetizer or light dinner. Make a pizza using the pesto as the sauce, topped with fresh mozzarella, Kalamata olives, and prosciutto!
Check out two new recipes and a blog post from B&G Produce, In Season: What we’re doing with Fava Beans.
We also have a special vendor this week. The high school art club will be at market selling handmade crafts to raise money for upcoming trips they have this year.
Forget your cash? No problem. We now take credit cards and EBT. It will show up as one transaction for all the items you buy. Stop at the Market Manager booth to start the process and have fun shopping!
