On to our second weekend of farmers’ market and we’re excited! Bub’s has a ton more asparagus, B&G Produce doubled the amount of Organic Granola for this week, Bad River Pack has yummy meat snacks, Venner Farm added Whole Wheat Flour, and Ralph Ripley is debuting with a variety of seedlings!
Walking Onions are new from B&G Produce. They are sort of a cross between leeks and scallions. We have sautéed and served them with a couple fried eggs and toast for a super tasty breakfast. The other night, Matt grilled them until there was a nice char. After letting them cool, he chopped the onions and added them to softened butter with salt and pepper. We then served the charred onion butter over grilled ribeye. This was a favorite of mine!
